Built in 1930, Citroen Tower (architect Jan Wils) is located on the east side of the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, . As Citroen's Dutch headquarters, the building has various programs, such as sales, display, distribution, and maintenance. By 2014, the building has been used for more than 80 years. With the regional urbanization and the rise of joint office in Amsterdam, the proposal of turning it into an office space was put on the agenda.
Since the building is historic listed, to retain its original industrial atmosphere while plug-in the new office programs is the design strategy. Small offices, public meeting rooms, restaurants, auditorium are set in the plan, while lighting, furnitures and color boards are redesigned.
The entrance garage ramp is one of the design highlights. We use its spatial characteristics and converted it into a public theater.
